Description from Sail Canada: CANSail 1 teaches sailors the fundamental sailing skills including basic sheeting, steering, and boat handling on all points of sail. Sailors can sail within defined boundaries set by an instructor.
Date: Monday, August 9 and Tuesday, August 10
Time: 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
We will be dividing CANSail 1 and 2 into separate sessions this season, with CANSail 2 taking place during weekends in September. Successful completion of CANSail 1 will be a prerequisite for taking CANSail 2.
CANSail 1 involves instruction on land and on the water. Be prepared to sail both days. As sailing time is limited to daylight hours please arrive promptly by 5:30 pm.
